Diamond and carbon Materials Young Scholar Prize

The International Conference on Diamond and Carbon Materials Prize for Young Scholars, recognizes early career academics working in the field.

Criteria:
Nominations are open to

  1. Master-students,
  2. Diploma-students,
  3. PhD-students

All abstract submissions must include a letter of recommendation from a supervisor or another senior scientist from the same lab or from another lab, stating that the work has been done mainly by the student and that the quality is out-standing.

Abstracts and letter of recommendation must be submitted by 16th March.

Evaluation Process

  • Award eligibility will be based on evaluation of the novelty, quality, uniqueness of submitted abstracts. All qualifying abstracts of applicants will be sent to the Young Scientist Award Selection Committee for final selection.
  • The Selection Committee will ask the authors of the 8 top rated abstracts to prepare a presentation of 15 minutes (10 minutes talk, 5 minutes discussion) in the “Young Scholar Award Session” taking place during the conference. From the 8 presentation a maximum of 4 will be awarded by the Award Selection Committee.

Award

  • Each winner will receive a cash prize of 500 Euros and an award certificate signed by the chair of the award and of the organizer committees.
