Conference Registration Fees

Early delegate registration (prior to 25 July 2008)
€675 + VAT @ 16% = €783

Full delegate registration (from 25 July 2008)
€750 + VAT @ 16% = €870

Author registration
€575 + VAT @ 16% = €667
Applies to one author of each paper accepted for presentation

Student registration
€360 + VAT @ 16% = €417.60
Student registrations must be accompanied by a signed letter from your head of department attesting to your student status

The conference registration fee includes:

  • Abstract book available at the conference
  • Proceedings issue of the journal Diamond and Related Materials published on CD-ROM after the conference
  • Mid-session refreshment breaks
  • Drinks reception

Tutorial Registration Fees

Tutorial delegate:  €50 + VAT @ 16% = €58

Optional Conference Dinner

The optional conference dinner will take place on Wednesday 10 September at the Gaudi Garraf Restaurant. (Link will open in a new window.)

The Gaudi Garraf Restaurant is a short distance from the conference venue (coach transportation provided) and the evening will provide entertainment with a local flavour.

The cost of the dinner per person is €55 + VAT @ 16% = €63.80. Please book tickets via the registration form.

Author registration deadline

Accepted presenters should register no later than Friday 20 June 2008 to ensure that their material is included in the final programme and the book of abstracts. Non-registered presentations will be withdrawn from the conference after this date.

Payment

Registration fees are payable in advance of the conference. In order to expedite the registration process, please complete the registration form with your credit card details. Confirmation of your credit card payment along with registration confirmation documents will be sent to you by (air)mail. If you do not receive confirmation of your registration 7 days prior to the event, please contact the Conference Secretariat.

Alternative payment methods: Cheques should be made payable to Elsevier and should be sent with your completed registration form. In order to pay by bank transfer, you will first require an invoice. An invoice will be sent to you by airmail upon receipt of a signed registration form completed with your contact details and registration details. The reverse side of the invoice provides Elsevier bank account details for transfer purposes. Please do not transfer fees until you have received your invoice. It is essential that you include your invoice number when instructing your bank. Please forward a copy of the bank transfer documentation to the Conference Secretariat.

Cancellations

Substitutions may be made at any time but please advise the Conference Secretariat of a change of name. If you find it necessary to cancel the registration completely, please notify the Conference Secretariat immediately. Provided written notice is received by 25 July 2008, a full refund will be given less a 10% administration charge. Provided written notice is received 8 August 2008, a 50% refund will be given. It is regretted for registrations cancelled after 8 August 2008, or for no-shows at the conference, the full fee (100% cancellation charges) will be payable.

In the unlikely event that Elsevier shall deem it necessary to cancel the conference, all pre-paid registration fees will be reimbursed. Elsevier shall not be liable for reimbursing the cost of travel or accommodation arrangements made by individual delegates.

Changes

Details are correct at time of going to print. Elsevier reserves the right to change any session in the final programme.
